The Man Behind the Firm
Imran’s journey began with a dual major in Accounting, Finance and Management Information Systems at American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB), where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning a Silver Medal for academic excellence. From the very beginning, finance & investment wasn’t just a subject — it was his language.
His professional career kicked off at a leading asset management company as an equity research intern. Within five months, his performance and analytical skills secured him a position at another prominent asset management firm — this time, managing responsibilities that far exceeded his title.
Imran quickly rose to become a Senior Executive, Investment Analyst, directly overseeing investment decisions, portfolio strategies, and trade execution. He managed one of the largest open end mutual fund portfolios in the country — making high-stakes decisions across equities, bonds, and fixed income instruments.
While analyzing private companies for investment, he developed a passion for how startups economics work — and more importantly, how they fail. He began exploring startup finance, building financial models, and partnering remotely with firms in the United States, UK, Europe, and Australia.

After working with numerous founders and global firms, Imran officially started operating under the name IH Capital & Research in 2024, taking on contracts and building client relationships. The company was later formally incorporated in the UK on April 7, 2025, marking the official launch on the global stage — a firm designed to be lean, strategic, and 10x more agile than traditional consulting firms.
Today, he supports growing businesses by offering high-touch CFO services that are up to 80% more cost-effective than hiring a full-time CFO.
